Mercedes AMG G 63 'Edition 463' and AMG GLS 63 launched in India

Mercedes-Benz, the luxury carmaker from Germany has launched two of its SUVs, viz.- Mercedes-AMG G 63 'Edition 463' and Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, in India, for Rs 2.17 crore and Rs 1.58 crore (ex-showroom Pune), respectively.
This launch will strengthen the company's foothold in the performance SUV segment, while taking its SUV portfolio to eight products.
"With today's launch we further strengthen our AMG portfolio in India and are confident of leading the performance segment with fascinating product interventions," Mercedes-Benz India Managing Director and CEO Roland Folger said.
Talking of Mercedes-AMG G 63, the vehicle comes with a supercharged 5.5-litre V8-petrol engine which goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. It also has an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/hr.
Both vehicles come with features like off-road reduction gear and the electronic traction system, which enhance their off-roading capabilities as per the company.
This year, the company has launched a total of six vehicles in India, and is planning to repeat the product introductions of last year, when it launched 13 new vehicles.
