- First lady Melania Trump would prefer to spend the holidays on a deserted island.
- She revealed some of her favorite Christmas traditions as well during a visit to Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC on Thursday.
First lady Melania Trump told a group of kids Thursday that her ideal place to spend the holiday season would be on a deserted, tropical island with her family.
Trump visited Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC and read "The Polar Express" to a group of children, who also asked her a series of questions.
One child, a 10-year-old named Andy, asked Trump where she would spend the holidays if she could choose any location on the globe.
"I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, a tropical island, with my family," Trump said.
Trump answered a number of other Christmas-related questions from the audience, according to a pool reporter.
She said her favorite Christmas song is "Oh, Holy Night," her favorite thing to eat on the holiday is "some healthy food" because "you feel very good after," and that she asked Santa Claus "for Christmas peace on the world, health, love and kindness."
