McLaren's newest sports car is insanely fast and sleek
McLaren released the 675LT Spider and it's sure to meet your speed needs.
The car was made after McLaren saw significant customer demand for its 675LT coupe, autoblog reported.
The 675LT Spider has a top speed of 203 miles per hour and can get to 124 miles per hour in just 8.1 seconds. And in case you're still not sold on its speed, the car can reach 62 miles per hour in under three seconds.
Making the car as light weight as possible was a priority for the automaker, which trimmed 220 pounds to bring the car to 2,800 pounds. Much of the car, including front bumper, front under body, and rear fenders are made of carbon fiber to make it as aerodynamic as possible.
But the best perk may be its three-part retractable roof system.
For the car fanatics out there: the 675LT Spider has a power-to-weight figure of 4.2 lbs per horsepower and manages torque to 443 lb-ft.
Those itching to buy one should know McLaren is only releasing 500 units of the $372,600 car. First deliveries will occur summer 2016.
