Marlins Pitcher Throws A No-Hitter With One Of The Most Bizarre Endings You Will Ever See

Henderson Alvarez added a bright spot to an otherwise bleak season for the Marlins when he struck out Matt Tuiasosopo of the Tigers to complete nine innings without allowing a hit. However, the no-hitter did not become official until the Marlins scored in the bottom-half of the inning on a wild pitch.

With the score still tied 0-0 in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Marlins got a pair of singles and a walk to load the bases. Then with two outs, Luke Putkonen threw the wild pitch that allowed the winning run to score, making the no-hitter a reality.

Adding to the strangeness of the moment, Alvarez had thrown just 99 pitches and was in the on-deck circle ready to bat when the winning run was scored. So he started celebrating his no-hitter while wearing a helmet and holding a bat. Here is the winning run...
