Fall from Grace

During the recent market decline, high-priced stocks were not spared, with several experiencing significant corrections. We have identified eight high-priced stocks that have dropped over 25% from their 52-week highs. Currently, there are around 19 high-priced stocks on the bourses, each trading above Rs 10,000 per share. To focus on companies with strong market capitalization, we filtered out stocks with a market cap of less than Rs 5,000 crore.

Generally, high-priced stocks tend to have lower trading volumes compared to others, as acquiring even a single share requires substantial investment. However, during periods of market weakness, it can be interesting to identify fundamentally strong high-priced stocks that have undergone significant corrections. Would this correction prove to be a golden opportunity, or was it a warning sign of deeper troubles ahead? Only time will tell.
