Indian benchmark indices ended in the red on Friday, but the metal stocks outperformed, with the Nifty Metal index surging 2.7%, supported by rising global metal prices amid a weaker dollar.

Even in a weak market, domestic brokerage firm Nuvama spotted and compiled a list of 12 stocks from the Nifty 250 universe, which continued to exhibit strength despite broader market fluctuations, that are 0.5-3.5% away from their all-time highs:
