Taking stock

It's crucial for investors to monitor where major institutional investors are placing their money, but it’s equally important to stay alert when these investors are consistently trimming their positions. An analysis by ETMarkets revealed that, over the past three quarters (June 2024 to December 2024), foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have steadily reduced their holdings in around 143 stocks, all with a market cap of over Rs 1,000 crore.

While most of the stocks on this list have shown negative returns in FY25 so far, with 64 stocks experiencing double-digit declines, there are a few exceptions that have performed well despite the reduction in FII stakes. Stocks such as Rajoo Engineers, Wonder Electricals, Shanti Educational Initiatives, Innova Captab, and 63 Moons Technologies have emerged as multibaggers during this period. Additionally, we’ve highlighted 11 stocks that have fallen between 30-50% (Data Source: ACE Equity).
