And things are quiet.</p>
<p><keyword id="31671" type="CITY" weightage="60" keywordseo="markets">Markets</keyword> have been pretty dull and lifeless lately, and today that's especially so.</p>
<p>Stock indices are basically flat across Europe. Futures are a tad down in the US.</p>
<p>Japan ended up having a nice rebound late in the day, and ended with a rally, but given the way the Nikkei bounces around, it was nothing to write home about.</p>
<p>There is not a ton of crucial data in the US today, although PPI will be released.</p>

Markets Are Going Nowhere

Robert JohnsonIt's the dead middle of August. And things are quiet. Markets have been pretty dull and lifeless lately, and today that's especially so. Stock indices are basically flat across Europe. Futures are a tad down in the US. Japan ended up having a nice rebound late in the day, and ended with a rally, but given the way the Nikkei bounces around, it was nothing to write home about. There is not a ton of crucial data in the US today, although PPI will be released.
