Mark Zuckerberg Says That Facebook Messenger Has 200 Million Monthly Active Users

In Facebook's first quarter earnings call, Mark Zuckerberg revealed that Messenger - its stand-alone messaging app - has 200 million monthly active users.

That's a pretty impressive number. Instagram just hit 200 million monthly active users. Twitter has only slightly more, with 241 million monthly active users.

The company has been trying to convince its more than 1 billion users to use Messenger exclusively for messaging. Although it's not there yet, this number is strong.
