Sen. Marco Rubio joked about President Donald Trump after he stopped a speech in order to drink water.

Rubio, whom Trump famously mocked during the 2016 campaign for his frequent and infamous onstage water consumption habits, posted a tweet almost immediately after the president took several swigs of Fiji water during a speech recapping his recent diplomatic trip to Asia.

"Similar, but needs to work on his form. Has to be done in one single motion & eyes should never leave the camera. But not bad for his 1st time," Rubio wrote.

Rubio's 2013 rebuttal to President Barack Obama's inauguration was overshadowed when he took a break from his speech to drink water, all without breaking eye contact with the camera in front of him.

Individuals close to the Florida senator said drinking water during speeches was a habitual tick that Rubio has had since his time in the Florida state legislature.

During the 2016 campaign, Trump mocked him, miming drinking from his water bottle.
