A spokesperson for the company told Business Insider that regular, non-seasonal employees who are laid off and unable to find a job at nearby Macy's stores will be eligible for severance.

- Redmond Town Center, Redmond, Washington
- Sunnyvale Town Center, Sunnyvale, California
- Macy's Furniture Gallery, Westside Pavilion, Los Angeles, California
- Glendale Galleria, Indianapolis, Indiana
- Swansea, Massachusetts
- Tysons Galleria, McLean, Virginia
- Nanuet Mall, Nanuet, New York
JCPenney is also closing stores. The company has so far announced that three store closings are scheduled for the spring, and more will follow, it said Tuesday.
