The single constituency of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is turning a hot contesting ground with the 2019 Parliamentary elections approaching. Mohan Delkar, the former Congress MP from the union territory and the tribal leader of Dadra and Nagar Haveli is contesting this time as an independent candidate. During the past, Delkar had represented the union territory six times in the parliament. However, he lost the constituency to the BJP candidate Natubhai Patel in both 2009 and 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Natubhai Patel will represent BJP once again in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections while the Congress has not announced its candidate from here.
