Mizoram, the mountainous state is located in the southern tip of the north-east part of India. Mizoram is the land of highlanders or Mizos. The state has only one Lok Sabha constituency. Therefore it can send only one MP to represent the state in the parliament. The Election Commission has announced that the Lok Sabha elections will be conducted here in a single phase on April 11, when the country will see its first phase of polling in the other parts. The counting will happen on May 23 and the results will be declared on the same day.
