Microsoft is holding a big event today to announce a new version of its Surface Windows 8 tablet.
There have been mixed reports about what we'll see today. Some think Microsoft will announce a smaller version of the Surface tablet. (The invitation to today's event said "join us for a small gathering," after all.) But a report from Cite World yesterday said that wasn't going to happen.
It's likely Microsoft will unveil a more powerful version of the Surface Pro, it's top-of-the-line tablet/PC hybrid. There are even some reports that the new tablet will have a large, 13-inch screen. (The current Surface tablets have 10-inch screens.)
We'll know for sure very soon.
The event begins at 11 a.m. Eastern. Follow the news as it happens in the live blog below.
