LIVE: Jeff Gundlach Speaks On The State Of The Markets And The Economy
REUTERS/Brendan McDermid Jeff Gundlach of DoubleLine Funds will be hosting a public webcast at 4:15 p.m. ET.
He will be discussing what he sees in the economy and the markets as he lays out updates to his forecasts.
Listeners will be particularly interested in what the bond god has to say about interest rates, especially with the Federal Reserve expected to begin tapering its $85 billion quantitative easing plan.
"I think the 10-year can go to 3.10% or so," he told CNBC last month while forecasting the Treasury market for the balance of the year.
When asked about the possibility of 3.5% rates or higher, Gundlach said that would come with a serious down move in the markets, which in turn would force rates to come back down.
Gundlach has been recently quoted as saying the 10-year would go no higher than 2.5% and fall as low as 1.7% this year.
