LIC Housing Finance said today that its net profit for the September quarter of 2015-16 rose 20.6% to Rs 411.74 Crores. The consecutive figure for last year was Rs 341.35 Crores.
LIC’s said in a BSE filing that its total income had spiked to Rs 3,089.36 Crores during the quarter under review from Rs 2,658.69 Crores a year ago.
The company’s main business lies in offering loans for purchase or construction of residential properties.
Its stock traded at Rs 490.25 on BSE in noon session. It was up by 1.73%.
