Finally, the speculations we made yesterday have come true. Delhi is on its way to hold fresh elections soon. Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today recommended to the President that the state’s Assembly must be dissolved. President Pranab Mukherjee has forwarded it to the Home Ministry for its view. The Cabinet is likely to meet tomorrow to discuss the issue.

Yesterday, we were the first to break the news that Jung may recommend dissolution of the Assembly today (Tuesday) after meeting the representatives of BJP, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party. And Jung’s recent recommendation to the President has just proved us right.

After the Assembly is dissolved, the Election Commission is required to hold elections within six months. Now, it remains to be seen, if AAP’s charisma would work again in the fresh elections? Or would it be BJP that would gain the most from it? Only time would tell.
