A Liberty University law professor is claiming he found the secret to overcoming porn addiction, WSET-TV in Lynchburg, Va. reports.

Liberty law professor Joel Hesch is an expert on fraud and a former lawyer with the Department of Justice, according to the school's website.

Hesch also has a new book called "Proven Men: A Proven Path to Sexual Integrity" about his own experience with addiction to sex and porn, as well as a new 12-week course on the issue.

"How did it affect my life? It nearly cost me my marriage," he told WSET.

His website, Provenmen.org, claims that "half of all men struggle with pornography and lust." Hesch wants to reach at least one million men with his new Bible-based 12-week course.

Proven Men Ministries, a Virginia-based nonprofit, offered to bring Hesch's book and study guide to churches across the globe.

Above The Law, which picked up on WSET-TV's story on Monday, mocked the law school where Hesch teaches but acknowledged that it's accredited. Liberty is a private evangelical university founded by the televangelist Jerry Falwell.
