  • LaVar Ball is determined to get all three of his sons to play on the same team, preferably with the Los Angeles Lakers.
  • Ball has now threatened to have Lonzo Ball leave the Lakers if they don't sign his brothers, LiAngelo Ball and LaMelo Ball.

LaVar Ball is determined to see all three of his sons play together on the same NBA team - preferably for the Lakers - and is already making threats to try and force the Lakers' hand.

According to Lithuanian basketball reporter Donatas Urbonas, Ball is now threatening to have Lonzo Ball leave the Lakers and is already making plans in case LiAngelo Ball is not on the Lakers' radar.

Ball says that if LiAngelo Ball does not get signed by the Lakers this year, he will be brought back to Lithuania to play two more years with LaMelo Ball, the youngest Ball brother, at which point all three brothers must be signed together. LiAngelo Ball is generally regarded as not being an NBA-ready prospect at this time.

"I want all my three boys to play for the Lakers . . . I want let every NBA team know, that Lonzo is not going to re-sign with the Lakers but will go to any team that will take all three of my boys," Ball told Urbonas.

Ball also said that teams won't have to draft LiAngelo, and will instead be able to sign him as a free agent, although the NBA will probably beg to differ on that point. Furthermore, he says LiAngelo would be willing to play for $1 million over three years, "Cause they make so much money off the court."

Of course, the Lakers probably aren't happy about the ever-talkative Ball already making roster demands over Lonzo's next contract. Still, the Lakers do have all the leverage in this situation, because Lonzo will only be a restricted free agent at the end of his rookie contract, and the Lakers will have the ability to match any contract Lonzo receives and keep him in L.A.

LaVar Ball, for his part, certainly has lofty hopes for any team that signs all of his sons, saying, "So now you win championship after championship on fact that my boys will never leave. That's what I mean championship, championship, championship."
