Large Tornado Confirmed In Central Illinois As Severe Weather Hits The Midwest
A large and extremely dangerous tornado has been confirmed in central Illinois, according to The Weather Channel.
The twister near Washington, Ill., which is just east of Peoria, is currently moving northeast at 55mph.
Much of the Midwest and the Great Lakes are considered to be moderate and high risk for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes over the next 12 hours or so.
The storms have begun and there are indications of more tornadoes.
We'll have more information as it becomes available.
