Business Insider compiled surveys from five reputed sources — Republic-C Voter, NDTV - Hansa, Today's Chanakya, India Today-Axis, and TimesNow - VMR — amongst many others and the final number is an average of these five polls.

Located from 200 200 to 440 kilometers off the southwestern coast of India, Lakshadweep is a group of Islands. Deemed as a union territory of India, this is the smallest electorate in the country spread over 32 square kilometers. The electoral rolls of Lakshadweep show us a list of 49,922 voters made of 25,433 males and 24,489 females. There are no registered third gender electors here.

In 2014 general elections, Mohammed Faizal of the P. P. Nationalist Congress Party won from this constituency. Earlier in 2009 Lok Sabha elections, the union territory elected INC’s candidate from this single Parliamentary seat. In 2004 Parliamentary elections, Janata Dal (United) candidate won from this seat. For a long period of about ten Lok Sabha terms from 1967 to 1999, P M Sayeed of the INR held this seat. When he was elected for the 4th Lok Sabha, he was the youngest member in the Parliament.

Lakshadweep is a single constituency union territory and hence can give only one seat to the Parliament. This is an unreserved seat. Enjoying a very high literacy rate of 92.28%, Lakshadweep is dominated by scheduled tribes who make up 94.8% of the total population. Lakshadweep voted for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 on April 11 when the country went for the first round of polling.
