Kim Kardashian West has won $2.7 million in a lawsuit against a British fashion brand she accused of knocking off her viral outfits to make money.

Kardashian West was awarded the damages by a judge in California in her suit against Missguided, multiple outlets reported. In the lawsuit she said the site is "notorious for knocking off" designer clothes like hers.

Missguided, a fast-fashion company headquartered in the UK city of Manchester, was ordered by a judge in California to pay the damages after it failed to respond to Kardashian West's lawsuit, the BBC reported.

The judge therefore gave a default judgment, awarding $2.7 in damages, and a further $59,000 in legal costs. The judgment was against Missguided's US arm, rather than Missguided UK, according to The Fashion Law.

Judge Virginia A. Phillips, of the U.S. District Court for Central California, ruled that Missguided must not use any of Kardashian West's trademarks "in connection with the sale, marketing or distribution of its products."

Kardashian West's lawsuit against Missguided, which was filed in February, said: "Like other 'fast fashion' companies, Missguided ... has become notorious for 'knocking off' the clothing worn by celebrities like Kardashian,"

"Missguided does not merely replicate the looks of these celebrities as seen on red carpets, in paparazzi photos, and in social media posts.

"Missguided systematically uses the names and images of Kardashian and other celebrities to advertise and spark interest in its website and clothing."
