Khan Market In Delhi Is The First Market To Deploy Free Wi-Fi

New Delhi Municipal Council must be proud of themselves, as they have deployed free Wi-Fi in New Delhi’s posh Khan Market. NDMC had announced plans to give Wi-Fi at no costs to customers who visit Khan Market and Connaught Place.
Now, NDMC has rolled out Khan Markets plans and people can register themselves using their mobile number and e-mail ids. Then a one-time password (OTP) is sent to the customer and they can access the internet for a short duration. If one wants to use this service further then one has to pay a nominal charge. Wi-Fi Internet scratch cards are available at various shops in the market, which the customers can purchase and use.
The project has been running successfully in Khan Market since the past few days. However, Connaught Place is where the council is still not up yet. N-Block in Connaught Place is the only area where this service has been deployed properly and the rest of areas are underway to get Wi-Fi services.
CP is much larger than Khan Market, hence the council is taking some extra time. Also, NDMC does not want the internet wires hanging from pole to pole. They will use the underground system for this, which is why they are taking more time.
