Kevin Bacon Is Back In Another Commercial, And It's Cornier Than Ever
Kevin Bacon is a goofball.
The actor has poked fun at his career in several offbeat commercials, including one for Logitech and Google TV where he played an average Joe creepily obsessed with none other than Kevin Bacon. In one from September, Bacon outdid celebrity chef Jamie Oliver on Oliver's online cooking show for mobile provider EE - and yes, there were plenty of bacon puns and allusions to the game that says everyone is six degrees removed from him.
This holiday season, Bacon is back as "Melvin Macon" in an ad for the small business collective Shift Your Shopping, which encourages shoppers to frequent local stores over big chains. Bacon's foundation Six Degrees is one of its main sponsors.

Did you notice that he was also one of the choir singers?
New York agency Walrus produced the video pro bono. Its style is very reminiscent of comedy duo Tim and Eric's brand of satire.
