Jon Snow apologizes for the final season of 'Game of Thrones' in a ridiculous new deepfake video

Despite all the angry social media posts and petitions, it's unlikely you'll ever get an apology from anyone who worked on the final season of "Game of Thrones." 

But today, right now, you can watch Kit Harrington as Jon Snow issuing a major apology.

It's not real of course, but the latest so-called "deepfake" of a celebrity saying something in character that they never actually said in real life

"I know nothing made sense at the end," Snow says in the video. "When the Starbucks cup is the smallest mistake, you know you f---ed up."

That is, of course, a reference to the accidental inclusion of a coffee cup in one of the scenes from the final season - it has since been edited out of the shot. The final season of "Game of Thrones" has become a point of contention among fans of the series, with some folks going so far as to call for a re-write in a widely signed petition.

If you count yourself among those who hated the final "Game of Thrones" season, we've got bad news: That re-write, let alone an apology, is unlikely to ever come.
