Joe Scarborough Lavishes Praise On Fox News' Chris Wallace For Blowing Up At NRA's Wayne LaPierre

"Morning Joe" co-host Joe Scarborough heaped heavy praise this morning on Fox News' Chris Wallace for a contentious interview with NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre on "Fox News Sunday."

In the interview, Wallace challenged LaPierre on a controversial ad that involved President Barack Obama's daughters.

He also accused LaPierre of being a hypocrite when he calls people with armed bodyguards "elite," because LaPierre is often afforded access to armed protection. At one point, Wallace pointedly told LaPierre that the ad involving Obama's daughters was "ridiculous, sir, and you know it."

"Wow, Chris Wallace, man! Good on him!" Scarborough said this morning after playing a clip.

Scarborough was most impressed how Wallace hammered LaPierre's argument that every child in America faces the same threat as the President's children.

"He's got more bodyguards than most anybody else!" Scarborough said.

"And this argument — Chris Wallace really drilled down hard here — the argument, seriously, that all of our children deserve the same amount of protection as the President of the United States’ children? That’s the problem with Wayne LaPierre and the extremist wing of the NRA’s arguments. They’re stupid arguments. ... They're stupid arguments!"
