Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel once again lit into the Republican healthcare bill during his monologue Thursday night.

Kimmel went after President Donald Trump, the two authors of the bill, and other Republicans on the latest attempt to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.

The host, along with a large number of healthcare experts and even some GOP lawmakers, said the current Graham-Cassidy bill would undercut protections for people with preexisting conditions and cut the amount of federal funding for healthcare to states.

Kimmel has been a strong opponent of attempts to erode protections for preexisting conditions after his infant son had open heart surgery directly after his birth for a heart defect.

Here are some of Kimmel's choice quotes:

  • On Trump's support of the bill: "For Trump, this isn't about the Graham-Cassidy bill, it's about getting rid of Obamacare - which he hates primarily because it has Obama's name on it. He likes to have his name on things: building, vodka, you name it. At this point he'd sign anything if it meant getting rid of Obamacare. He'd sign copies of the Quran at the Barnes and Noble in Fallujah if it meant he could get rid of Obamacare."
  • On Trump's healthcare knowledge: "I guarantee he doesn't know anything about this bill. He doesn't know the difference between Medicare and Medicaid. He barely knows the difference between Ivanka and Melania."
  • On Bill Cassidy, who helped write the bill and appeared on Kimmel's show in May: "Some people say I should give him the benefit of the doubt, and I do. I doubt all the benefits he claims are part of his healthcare bill."
  • On the opposition to the bill from hospital, doctor, insurance and medical groups: "We haven't seen this many people come out against a bill since Cosby."
  • On Vice President Mike Pence saying that states should control healthcare decisions: "Their argument is that its better to put these decisions in the hands of the states. Have you seen some of our states? If Florida could make their own decisions, it would be legal to bring an alligator into a strip club."
  • On criticism that he shouldn't be talking about healthcare: "A lot of people are saying that I'm not qualified to talk about this, and that is true, I'm not qualified to talk about this. But I think those people forget, Bill Cassidy named this test after me. Am I supposed to be quiet about that?"
