IT'S OFFICIAL: Russia Bans Food Imports From The US, EU, Canada, Australia

Russia just announced a ban on food imports from the U.S., the European Union, Canada, Australia, and Norway.

The announcement was made by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Moscow, reports Bloomberg's Olga Tanas.

Medvedev said it was a difficult decision, but he also said Russia had no other choice.

These retaliatory sanctions come in the wake of sweeping sanctions by the U.S. and the E.U. on Russian energy and financial services companies.
