The United State’s Silicon Valley is home to many of the largest high-tech corporations as well as thousands of tech startups. Indian immigrants have also done amazingly well as entrepreneur in this valley, which is the world’s greatest meritocracy, by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with tech workers from other part of the globe.

On Monday, US President Barack Obama announced an easy process to obtain L-1B work visas for corporate executives. This initiative could help Indian companies to bring more employees. This information was revealed in a PTI report.

While addressing the SelectUSA Summit, Barack Obama said that the move would attract larger foreign direct investment to the US. He added, "I'm pleased to announce a new action, I'm also taking to make it easier for global companies who are present here today to launch and invest in the US. My administration is going to reform the L-1B visa category, which allows corporations to temporarily move workers from a foreign office to a US office in a faster, simpler way.”

Earlier, a large-scale decline of L-1 visas was keeping Indian firms away from investing in the US.

Obama further added that the initiative could benefit a larger number of non-immigrant workers as well as their employers. This will not only give a boost to the US economy, but will also lead to more investments in the country, he concluded.
