The Irony of an MBA Student
Dec 1, 2016, 23:42 IST
There are reports by associations and consulting firms on the issue of unemployability of MBA graduates in India.
It is a serious problem and need to be looked into and more so as India aspires to grow with a higher growth rate for years to come and be an economic superpower.
This is one area where Government of India needs to look into for its’ Skill Development Initiative (SDI).
The problem has multiple dimensions and one dimension is the student approach towards MBA program. At several places, many students are just interested in getting a job without focusing on adding any value resulting from a huge mismatch between industry expectations and MBAs.
The strategic humour story “Irony of an MBA Student: Aspiration for a Capitalist system with a Communist Approach!” brings forth the irony that an MBA student aspires to be a part of the capitalist system but wants to go with the approach of a typical communist!
Here, have a look!
