Corruption in gentleman’s game has eventually got clean bowled, thanks to Justice Lodha Committee, which has suspended the IPL franchises Chennai Super King (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) for 2 years.
Charged with being found guilty of betting and misconduct, the historical judgement suspended CSK team official Gurunath Meiyappan and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra for life from any cricketing activity undertaken by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
And it’s no surprise then that Twitter reacted strongly! As hours passed, #iplverdict gathered up the steam and was the trend in the micro-blogging site.
Some notable Twitter reactions were:
Perhaps CSK & RR deserved harsher punishment..even so the stigma itself is longer than life-ban!BCCI will've plenty of head-banging fr now!!

Franchise that was owned by the ICC President suspended for wrong doing. He remains in post

As a follower of cricket, someone who loves the game & its purity, would hv liked CSK & RR banned for life and BCCI/IPL officials suspended.

I guess @LalitKModi is out to a celebratory lunch in London today #IPLVerdict
