iPads Are Much Harder To Fix Than Other Tablets
iFixItGadget blog and repair site, iFixIt.com, has put together a list of the 18 most popular tablets and ranked them based on how difficult the devices are to repair.
Apple's iPads may look simple but the line of tablets rank among the hardest devices to repair.
There's a high chance of cracking the front glass when taking any of the newer models apart.
The only tablet harder to repair than the iPad Mini is a Microsoft Surface.
iFixit blames:
- Excessive amounts of adhesive makes any repair difficult.
- Hidden screws complicate dis-assembly.
The original iPad is much easier to fix than newer models.
