The value of Bitcoins has fallen in 2021, however, the market capitalisation of the asset has been on the rise. In the last year, Bitcoin rose by 360% in asset values while Facebook only went up by 22%. This comparison of assets is between that of Facebook, the publicly traded company, and Bitcoin, which is a monetary asset and distributed network.
In the 2010s, Bitcoins finished as the best performing asset and as per BitcoinMagazine, it has the potential to be the best-performing asset of this decade as well. As per the report, the value of Bitcoin is expected to grow exponentially in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2021, starting in October.
As per the graph shown in the report, Bitcoin has generally performed better in the last quarter (Q4) of the last few years. The value of Bitcoins saw positive growth and began rising to start from Q4, last year. There was a 168.78% increase in quarterly returns in Q4, 2020, while in 2017, it was 210.13%. In 2016 and 2015, the quarterly returns of the fourth quarter were 62.6% and 82.84%, respectively.
Anything could happen in this final quarter of 2021 as we have seen with its rise in the market capitalization. The list features some of the top stocks in the top five of the Asset Dash list. Ahead of Bitcoin are Amazon, Google, Saudi Aramco, Microsoft with Apple capping off the list.
While it’s a long way behind Amazon’s market capitalization of $1.631 Trillion, Bitcoins would look to march forward in this list of most valuable assets in the world.
