Derek Chauvin was sentenced to 270 months in prison on Friday for the murder of George Floyd.
The sentence is less than the 30-year sentence prosecutors had asked for, and the judge gave him credit for several months served.
Chauvin was convicted in April of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
