A Ukrainian official on Friday released a list of Russian war prisoners, urging Russian mothers to make a trip to Kyiv and pick up their captured sons.

Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, published the list, which contains the names of about 100 captured soldiers, on his Facebook page.

The list is made up of "war soldiers of the Russian Army, deceived into the territory of peaceful Ukraine," Gerashchenko wrote.

He warned that he will publish more lists similar to this one, including ones that note dead soldiers.

"And you know who is to blame for this - Putin!" he wrote on Facebook.

Russian soldiers who were captured in Kyiv will be returned to their families if the "unhappy Russian mothers" pick them up, the post said.

"Mothers of Russia, come to Kiev and take your sons," Gerashchenko said. "After the hell they endured invading our land, we know for sure that none of them will ever raise a finger against Ukraine again!"

"It was decided to return captured Russian soldiers to their mothers if they come for them to Ukraine, to Kiev," he wrote.

The list identifies the captured soldiers by name and age, which range from 19 to 48, according to screenshots of the list posted by Gerashchenko.

He urged Russian mothers to call the hotline of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and verify that their sons are being held in captivity by the Ukrainian government.

Mothers who make their way to Ukraine to pick up their sons will be escorted to Kyiv, "where your son will be handed over to you," his post reads.

"We, Ukrainians, unlike Putin's fascists, do not fight mothers and their captive children," Gerashchenko wrote. "We are waiting for you in Kiev!"
