97,887 pounds of raw chicken patty products were recalled after consumers reported finding bone fragments.
The chicken, processed by Innovative Solutions, Inc. in Kent, Washington, includes Trader Joe's Chili Lime Chicken Burgers and bulk-pack boxes of Spinach Feta Chicken Sliders sold by other retailers.
The recall, which was announced on Wednesday by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, is limited to products processed between August 16 and September 29, 2021. Specific lot codes of the recalled products can be found on the USDA's FSIS website.
"FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' freezers," the FSIS said in a statement on their website. "Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase."
Both Innovative Solutions Inc. and Trader Joe's did not immediately respond to Insider's request to comment on the recall.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products as of Wednesday, according to the FSIS. The FSIS recommends that anyone who purchased the recalled products and is concerned about an injury or illness should contact their healthcare provider for further information.
In total, the FSIS issued 31 recalls last year, according to its website. The recalls combined included 1,462,019 pounds of product. Approximately 10 recalls last year were for poultry products, including eggs.
