What's going on today:
- Fauci's following Mu. Fauci says he's "keeping a very close eye" on the COVID-19 Mu variant, which is already in every state except Nebraska. Dr. Antony Fauci said the Mu variant is not an "immediate threat" at the moment, because Delta is still the dominant variant.
- Tripwire's CEO is out. CEO of video game developer Tripwire Interactive steps down after receiving backlash for tweeting his support of Texas' abortion law. John Gibson stepped down as Tripwire Interactive CEO after tweeting that he was "proud" of the Supreme Court, the gaming studio announced Monday.
- Cuba to start vaccinating children as young as two. Cuba starts vaccinations for toddlers in world's first amid a devastating surge in COVID-19 cases in the country. The country is using locally-produced COVID-19 vaccines that are not recognized by the World Health Organization.
- That's a lot of extra guac. Chipotle's digital sales hit a record $2 billion so far this year - here's how its loyalty program led the company to success. Digital sales account for 48.5% of Chipotle's total sales, up from 19.6% in 2019.
- A Proud Boy goes to prison. A Proud Boys leader who stole and burned a BLM banner reported to jail despite last-ditch effort to get the judge to recuse himself. Enrique Tarrio pleaded guilty to burning a church's BLM banner. His lawyer wanted the judge to recuse himself because his daughter was baptized there.
- Ohio's ivermectin ruling reversed. Ohio judge reverses decision and rules that a hospital can't be forced to use ivermectin to treat a patient with COVID-19. A judge ruled that an Ohio hospital can't be forced to give patients Ivermectin to treat COVID-19, reversing last month's order that sided with a patient's wife.
