What's going on today:
- Mitch McConnell quashes hopes for Congressional bipartisanship again. McConnell said Wednesday "100% of our focus is on stopping this new administration," prompting renewed calls from Democrats to end the Senate filibuster.
- Melinda Gates, a woman with an apparently very accurate Spidey sense, was reportedly upset and uncomfortable after she and Bill Gates met with Jeffrey Epstein. A new report from The Daily Beast says Melinda Gates was "furious" with Bill for maintaining a relationship with the convicted sex offender. It "still haunts" her, according to sources close to the couple.
- The US is on track to resettle the fewest number of refugees on record, despite President Biden recently raising the cap on admissions. Fewer than 300 refugees in April, pacing for an historic low this year
- Well, this is a new one. An attorney for an accused Capitol rioter claimed his client participated in the January 6 siege because he had 'Foxitus' and 'Foxmania' from watching Fox News for six months.
- Are those Bugle Boy jeans you're wearing? Newsmax's Greg Kelly posts a photo with Donald Trump, makes a joke only those alive in the '80s could love, admits he wears $1,200 Balmain jeans, and is mercilessly ridiculed by the internet. The end.
That's all for now. See you Monday.
