- Joe Manchin gets on AOC's bad side. AOC slams Manchin's urge to shrink and delay passage of $3.5 trillion Democratic social welfare bill: "Bipartisan corruption is killing people." Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said, "Fossil fuel corps & dark money is destroying our democracy, country, and planet."
- Japan's Suga set to resign. Yoshihide Suga, the prime minister of Japan, announced he'll resign after one year in office. Suga told members of his ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) on Friday that he will not run in the party's upcoming presidential election.
- Trump's highly touted Trump Card design is actually just stock image art. The golden eagle at the center of the official Trump Card appears to be a free downloadable image. The image is readily available on image-sharing site Shutterstock, and can be downloaded royalty-free if one subscribes to a free trial.
- Texas women say they're in "a race against time." Women who got abortions in the final hours before Texas issued a 6-week ban said they had to travel to multiple clinics and brave long lines in order to get the procedure done. On Tuesday, in the final hours before SB 8 became state law, Texas abortion clinics were packed with people over six weeks pregnant, women said.
- Absolutely no one could have seen this coming. Rudy Giuliani was pranked on Cameo and tricked into praising journalists and human rights activists who investigated his former client. The former Trump attorney was tricked into praising journalists and activists who investigated his former client, Derwick Associates.
