The suspect in the Georgia spa shootings reportedly just entered a guilty plea to get life in prison
  • The suspect in the Georgia spa killings has pleaded guilty to murdering four victims, according to local reports.
  • Robert Aaron Long negotiated a plea deal with prosecutors to spend life in prison without parole.
  • Eight people were killed in the March shootings that were carried out at multiple spas.

The 21-year-old man who opened fire on multiple Atlanta-area spas in March, killing eight people, pleaded guilty to charges connected to four of the murders on Tuesday.

Robert Aaron Long and his attorneys negotiated a plea deal with prosecutors in Cherokee County, WSB-TV reporter Chris Jose said on Twitter. He pleaded guilty to 23 charges in connection to the killing of four people, according to local reports.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has already said she will seek the death penalty, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Long was arrested on March 16 after he was accused of opening fire at three Atlanta-area spas, killing eight people, six of whom were Asian women.

The four of the victims in Cherokee County were Xiaojie Tan, 49; Delaina Ashley Yaun, 33; Paul Andre Michels, 54; and Daoyou Feng, 44. They were killed at Young's Asian Massage in Acworth, Georgia, a northern suburb of Atlanta, officials said.

A fifth person, Elcias Hernandez-Ortiz, 30, was injured in that shooting.
