Travelers from Albania, North Macedonia, Serbia, Lebanon, Taiwan, Macau, and Hong Kong are also included on the list of countries to have restrictions dropped.
According to the European Council, the countries were selected based on specifications linked to the "epidemiological situation and overall response to COVID-19, as well as the reliability of the available information and data sources," CNN reported.
The decision applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers, a European source with knowledge of the discussions confirmed to Insider.
