When it comes to throwing an epic party, New Orleans knows how to deliver. Whether you want to get boozy on Bourbon Street, shop the boutiques on Magazine Street, dance the night away to a live jazz band, or sink your teeth into beignets and king cakes, this city does it all.

No open-container laws means your crew can take drinks to go as you wander from one bar to the next. If you need a break from all the partying, delve into NOLA's dark side on a ghost tour or spot gators on a swamp tour.

Book Domio Baronne St starting at $115 per night

Domio is smartly made up of multi-bedroom, apartment-style rooms, making it ideal for big groups like bachelor and bachelorette parties. You get all the convenience of staying at a larger property like an Airbnb with the added benefit of a 24-hour concierge, luggage storage, plus amenities that include a rooftop pool, gym, and game room.

The large living rooms with kitchens make it easy to get ready together or play fun party games before taking a walk over to the French Quarter to ramp up the night.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 4 of 176

Booking.com Rating: 9.3 out of 10

Pros: The apartment-style rooms are great for groups to stay together and the rooftop pool is a must-visit, especially when NoLa heats up.

Cons: This apartment hotel is not located in the middle of the French Quarter action. It's a roughly 25-minute walk or 10-minute drive to Bourbon Street.

Book The Drifter Hotel starting at $130

The Drifter is loaded with character and 1950s nostalgia, but with a hip twist. Colorful tropical wallpaper, lush indoor plants, and simple rooms decorated with local art set a fun, laid-back tone.

Your gang can dive into New Orleans' culinary scene through the hotel's rotating program of food trucks and pop-up events, or hit the bar by the pool to get some sun and throw back a few frozen cocktails or glasses of local wine. Just be aware that clothing is optional from the waist up at the pool, so this is not the place for shy or conservative parties.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 96 of 140

Booking.com Rating: 7.9 out of 10

Pros: If you're looking for a wild party scene, the pool parties here are notorious.

Cons: The party goes all day and night so getting sleep and relaxation in is tough with noise bleed into guest rooms.

Book Windsor Court Hotel starting at $305 per night

Windsor Court is ideally located just two blocks from the famed French Quarter. But stepping through its elegant doors offers a welcome break from the party scene. Plus, they feature live music at their Polo Club Lounge and have a 65-foot outdoor saltwater pool and terrace that are open year-round.

The recently renovated spa is also a great way to treat your group to a relaxing treatment, or sweat out that fourth round of drinks from the night before in the infrared saunas and eucalyptus-infused steam rooms.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 9 out of 176

Booking.com Rating: 9.4 out of 10

Pros: The hotel is right near the French Quarter for easy access, but the hotel maintains a quiet, relaxed vibe when you want to retreat.

Cons: The hotel can be pricey starting at $305, especially compared to other options in the city.

Palm Springs is a lovely desert oasis with plenty of retro-inspired hotels that channel the city's heyday as a retreat for Hollywood elite. Many resorts are renowned for their pool parties and bars that will satiate any appetite for the quintessential day-drinking experience.

But there's more than just a party. Funky design shops and a plethora of galleries add a dose of culture, while the nearby mountains, as well as gorgeous national parks like Joshua Tree, offer ample opportunities to get outdoors together. Hotels feature serene pool scenes too, with scintillating spas to match.

For quiet downtime between all the fun, head to the excellent Azure Spa and Salon.

There's a lively V-shaped pool that's usually filled with boozy guests, and DJs spinning during holiday weekends and events and rooms are contemporary and mod. In low season, that price drops down to $100 if you're flexible with dates.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 47 of 79

Booking.com Rating: Not listed

Dust off your boots and brush up on your two-step. Nashville has quickly joined the ranks as a go-to city for bachelor and bachelorette parties. It's no surprise since its music scene is legendary, not to mention the host of fun restaurants, bars, museums, and shops found here.

Country music lovers will, of course, love wandering in and out of bars filled with live music, as well as stopping in at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Dueling piano bars and pubs serve southern classics, and it doesn't get more Nashville than taking a tour of the Jack Daniel's distillery.

Book the Sheraton Grand Downtown starting at $203

A great option within walking distance to all the most popular attractions, the Sheraton Grand Downtown is a budget-friendly choice, but that doesn't mean it isn't a comfortable, solid option. The hotel recently underwent a major multi-million dollar renovation for nice rooms that will work well for groups.

You won't find extra perks like a spa, but that won't matter to those who plan to spend most of their time out and about.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 50 of 192

Booking.com Rating: 8.3 out of 10

Pros: A budget-friendly option that's easily walkable to top attractions.

Cons: There's no spa and the amenities are pretty basic.

Omni Nashville is just two blocks from Broadway, where many of the famous honky-tonk bars can be found, and the Country Music Hall of Fame is directly accessible from inside the hotel.

If you can't land a high room, the rooftop pool features lounge chairs, cabanas, and a seasonal bar and grill. The on-site spa is another pampering draw.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 16 of 192

Booking.com Rating: 9.0 out of 10

Pros: The hotel is right near the Broadway bars, and you don't have to leave the building to get to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Room views are impressive.

Cons: Omni Nashville attracts a range of guests, including many business travelers and conference-goers, which might not suit the bachelor or bachelorette party crowd.

Book the Fairlane Hotel starting at $319 per night

The Fairlane Hotel is ranked #1 on Trip Advisor for Nashville hotels for good reason given its downtown location close to the Country Music Hall of Fame and retro-chic interiors. The property's best rooms feature towering floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city. For a serious splurge, the penthouse suites come with panoramic views, large wraparound terraces, and private outdoor fire pits.

But standard rooms are still plenty luxurious with elegant decor details that subtly nod to the 1960s and 70s. When the weather is nice, the outdoor terrace at Ellington's Midway Bar and Grill is the ultimate place to fuel up on southern favorites like blue crab cakes and lobster thermidor.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 1 of 192

Booking.com Rating: 9.4 out of 10

Pros: Elegant mid-century decor makes for a memorable stay and the service is top-notch.

Cons: The starting rate is already expensive, and if you want rooms with the best city views you'll have to splurge even more.

For bachelors and bachelorettes looking for a calmer setting without the bustling city vibe, consider California's wine country. Think scenic vineyards, upscale spas, great restaurants, and all the wine you could ever want.

The Napa area is also a good place to go during the winter months since there's always sunshine and warmer weather. A quick tip: book any tasting rooms and winery tours for the group well in advance since they fill up fast and most are by reservation only.

Book the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn starting at $249 per night

Sonoma is a more laid-back country retreat compared to nearby Napa, and the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn embraces unwinding in more ways than just with an excellent glass of red. Of course, there's much of that, too, especially at the lounge bar 38º North, where you can sample wines from over 50 local and international wineries.

The outdoor pool and cafe, patio with cozy fireplace, and nearby Sonoma Golf Club are also great places to hang out. Save time for the geothermal swimming pools and bathhouse. Of course, some of Sonoma's best tasting rooms and wineries are less than a 5-minute walk away.

Trip Advisor Ranking: 6 of 11
