<p class="ingestion featured-caption">Alex Wong/Justin Sullivan/Getty Images</p><ul class="summary-list"><li><strong>Stores like Target, Walmart, and Costco will be closed again on Thanksgiving this year. </strong></li><li><strong>Some stores were closed in 2020 and retailers kept doing it since.</strong></li></ul><p>As Thanksgiving begins, some retailers are closing their doors during the holiday.</p><p>While shoppers might miss out on early Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, some stores are continuing a trend that began during the pandemic. <br /><br /><a target="_blank" rel href="https://www.businessinsider.com/walmart-will-close-stores-on-thanksgiving-ending-black-friday-tradition-2020-7"><u>Walmart was the first</u></a> major store to close its doors in 2020. <a target="_blank" rel href="https://www.businessinsider.com/target-stores-closed-thanksgiving-permanently-2021-11"><u>Target did the same</u></a> in 2021 and plans to close up shop for future Thanksgivings.</p><p>While closed on Thanksgiving, some retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Lowe's, Nordstrom, and Apple are offering <a target="_blank" href="https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/deals/black-friday-deals">early Black Friday deals</a> you can shop online ahead of the holiday.</p><p>Here's a list of retailers that have decided to stay closed on Thanksgiving (November 23 this year) as well as the ones that are still open.</p>
