From New York City to Portland, protests erupted across the country Wednesday evening in response to the news that no officer was being indicted for killing Louisville woman Breonna Taylor.
The 26-year-old EMT was shot dead in March when officers raided her apartment looking for drugs that were never found, and got into a gunfight with her boyfriend.
One former officer was indicted on Wednesday, but for shooting into Taylor's neighbor's apartment during the raid — not the killing of Taylor herself.
While the protests were mostly peaceful, there were some confrontations between protesters and police in Louisville, Portland, Atlanta, and Las Vegas.
