The royal family has announced that Princess Beatrice is pregnant and expecting a baby in the fall.
It said in a statement shared with Insider: "Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year."
"The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news," the statement added.
Beatrice is the daughter of Prince Andrew, and is the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth.
The baby will be the Queen's 12th great-grandchild, and the fourth royal baby to be born this year.
Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tindall and Beatrice's sister Princess Eugenie both welcomed baby boys earlier this year, with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry expecting a baby girl in the summer.
Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi tied the knot in a socially distanced ceremony on July 17, 2020, which was attended by their parents as well as the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
This will be Beatrice's first child, and the couple's first child together. Mapelli Mozzi has a 3-year-old son, Christoper "Wolfie" Woolf Mapelli Mozzi, from a previous relationship with Dara Huang, an architect and designer whom he was previously engaged to.
The baby will be born 11th in line to the British throne. Princess Beatrice is currently ninth in line, however she will likely move to 10th place after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's child is born.
