Prince Charles shared a throwback photo of himself with Prince Harry for Father's Day after a Mail on Sunday report said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were furious that Charles won't make his grandson Archie a prince.

The photo was shared on the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall's Clarence House Instagram account, along with photos of Charles with his father, the late Prince Philip, and of Camilla with her dad.

The image shows Charles smiling with his two sons at the Cirencester Park Polo Club in 2004.

But recent reports have suggested that Charles' relationship with Harry is strained.

The Mail on Sunday reported that Charles had made it clear to Harry and Meghan Markle that their son, Archie, would not inherit the title of prince by right.

Charles told them that he would change key legal documents to ensure that Archie does not become a prince, the report said, citing a source close to Harry and Markle.

The grandchild of a sovereign has typically inherited the title automatically. But according to the Mail on Sunday, Charles has plans to slim down the monarchy after he becomes king. The report described speculation that only heirs to the throne and their immediate families would receive titles, financial support, and police protection.

Markle said in her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March that the royal family didn't want Archie to become a prince or have security.
