One the men suspected of killing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was arrested on Tuesday at an airport outside of Paris, French radio station RTL reported.

Khaled Aedh Al-Otaibi was arrested at 9:30 a.m. local time at Charles-de-Gaulle airport before trying to board a flight to Saudi Arabia, the report said.

Al-Otaibi was at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul when Khashoggi was killed on October 2, 2018, the report said.

Khashoggi, a US resident and Washington Post columnist who was critical of the Saudi Arabian government, was killed as he picked up marriage documents at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

A declassified US intelligence report has implicated Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in his death, Insider previously reported.
