New Delhi and London are the most surveilled cities in the world

New Delhi, India

Having 1,826 cameras per square mile installed, Delhi tops the list for the first time. The Arvind Kejriwal-led government has so far installed 2.75 lakh CCTV cameras in 67 constituencies out of 70.

London, United Kingdom

London stands second in the list with 1,138.5 cameras per square mile. According to some reports, London has totally installed 6.89 lakh cameras.

Chennai, India

Chennai is the second Indian city to feature in the list with 609.9 cameras per square mile. In an earlier report by virtual private network provider Surfshark came out in January, Chennai emerged as the top city with the most number of cameras.

Shenzhen, China

Shenzhen has the maximum number of cameras installed in China with 520.1 per square mile. According to the cyber security research firm Comparitech, there are 770 million cameras in the world out of which 54 percent are installed in China.

Wuxi, China

Wuxi, which is known as the largest industrial city in China, ranks fifth in the list with 472.7 cameras per square mile.

Qingdao, China

Qingdao, which is regarded as the one of the safest places to live in China, has 415.8 cameras installed per square mile.

Shanghai, China

With 408.5 cameras installed per square mile, Shanghai is listed among one of the safest cities for travellers.

Singapore

Singapore has a comparatively less crime rate as compared to the rest of the world, with 387.6 cameras installed per square miles.

Changsha, China

Changsha, also known as the Sky City which is a popular tourist city, has 353.9 cameras installed per square mile.

The city has around 2,00,000 cameras installed for 590 miles, which makes 339 cameras per square mile.
