- Sen. Lindsey Graham criticized Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's defense of the accused Pentagon leaker.
- Graham called Greene's stance "irresponsible" and one that puts America "in serious danger."
Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has ripped GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's defense of the Air National Guardsman charged in the leak of secret Pentagon documents, calling her stance "terribly irresponsible" and one that puts America "in serious danger."
"That's one of the most irresponsible statements she could make," Graham said of Greene's hailing of 21-year-old Jack Teixeira during an interview Sunday on ABC's "This Week."
Greene, as well as other prominent far-right figures like Fox News host Tucker Carlson, quickly rushed to the defense of Teixeira who was charged last week in connection with the leak of dozens of classified US documents.

"Jake Teixeira is white, male, christian, and antiwar. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime," the Georgia congresswoman wrote in a tweet the day Teixeira was arrested by FBI agents at his family home in Massachusetts.
Greene added, "He told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more. Ask yourself who is the real enemy?"
Graham said during the Sunday interview that what people like Greene are "suggesting will destroy America's ability to defend itself."
"That it's okay to release classified information based on your political views. That the ends justify the means. It is not okay," the South Carolina senator said.
Graham continued, "There is no justification for this. And for any member of Congress to suggest it's okay to leak classified information because you agree with the cause is terribly irresponsible and puts America in serious danger."
Hours after Graham's criticism of Greene, Greene posted a doctored image of him on Twitter holding a Bud Light can that featured a photo of trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. on it.

Conservatives have blasted Bud Light's recent partnership with Mulvaney and have called for a boycott of the brew.
Last week, Donald Trump Jr. called for the end of the conservative-led boycott against Bud Light, which is owned by Anheuser-Busch, over the parent company's partnership with Mulvaney.
