Mattress startup Leesa has introduced a new foam mattress that starts at $599 for a Twin and tops out at $999 for a California King.

Leesa launched in 2015 and has quickly emerged as one of our favorite mattress startups. The Leesa Hybrid tops our buying guide to the best mattress, but it's definitely not a cheap investment. Five years later, the company has introduced a more affordable option to its regular lineup. Dubbed the Studio by Leesa, this new mattress boasts a high-quality sleep experience at a wallet-friendly price.

We'll be testing this soon but in the meantime, here's your first look at Studio by Leesa and how it compares to other Leesa mattresses.

The specs

The Studio by Leesa offers three layers of memory foam that support your body and relieve pressure on joints, particularly around the hip and shoulders. The Studio is CertiPUR-US- certified, meaning it's made without ozone-depleting chemicals.

The mattress is rated well for all types of sleepers and has a medium firmness.

Prices start at $599 for a Twin and go up to $999 for the largest offering, a California King. It's the brand's least expensive mattress, even at $999 for a California King. Currently, all Studio mattresses are discounted by $100, making them even more budget-friendly.

Leesa Legend Mattress

At the top of the lineup is Leesa's Legend mattress, which, like the Hybrid, features a layered combination of foam and pocket spring systems.

With four tiers of foam and two layers of springs, the Legend is Leesa's thickest and most expensive mattress, but it might be worth it for those who sleep hot and prefer a plush mattress.

The top-most layer of foam is hole-punched for extra breathability, and the mattress cover is made from 100% cotton, merino wool, and polyester manufactured using recycled plastic water bottles.

Leesa Hybrid Mattress

The Leesa Hybrid mattress (originally called the Sapira) currently holds the top spot in our buying guide for the best mattress. It accommodates a broad range of sleep styles and is great at isolating motion for a more peaceful sleeping experience.

It has four layers of foam and one layer of springs, which make it better at dissipating heat for those who sleep hot. The top layer features a hole-punched surface for breathability.

With a three-layer construction similar to the Studio for support and pressure relief, the fan-favorite Leesa Original includes cooling memory foam, so it's ideal for those who sleep hot.
